Sunday Snippets #2: Hate must make a man productive. Otherwise one might as well love.

Theme of the week: The value of words versus their actual meanings and impressions.

"If you hate a person, you hate something in him that is part of yourself.
What isn't part of ourselves doesn't disturb us.
"

Since childhood we’re taught that actions speak louder than words, but, that’s not always true. People hurt me everyday with their words, not their fists. And sometimes, like the random man who said to me this weekend “You’re nice and Jesus would love you too, if you were Christian.” I kinda wish he had punched me instead. It woulda hurt less.

Lesson learned: No one means all he says, and yet very few say all they mean, for words are slippery and thought is viscous.

Same here, I hadn't thought of hate that way but now I understand

Like the saying, you hate the person who's most like you

Time to reevaluate all my hate
